We purchased this building in pieces and parts over the past several years. It was built in 1977 by a well-known contractor that still living in the Central Florida area. It's a well-planned and exceptionally solidly constructed building. The original owners kept it well maintained and showed pride in ownership. It was operated as a 6-unit apartment complex with long-term tenants. When the owners retired they sold the property to what turned out to be a not so caring owner. It became quite an eye sore by the end of 5 years when it went up for sale again. Nobody seemed to want to purchase this huge "fixer upper." We decided to take the challenge. In May 2003 when we owned the entire property, Greg retired and started renovations. In the summer of 2004 I retired and joined him. Our niece Julie who is half owner, breaks away from her busy career in Michigan and comes to Florida to help us several times a year with renovations, furnishings and decorating. Our favorite part is shopping in the local stores and on the Internet for quality items at bargain prices.

The first year was overwhelming...So many things needed to be done and it was hard deciding where to start. But it all just started to fall into place. When the hurricanes came we had some minor roof damage from one of the hurricanes.  While we have the attention of our contractor we decided to have some nice upgrades done. During April and May 2005, lots of changes occured.
